Batik dress and batik fabrics require special care to stay looking nice and pretty all the time. The process of making batik and dye batik is traditionally done without using the machine. In the first washing until the third washing, there will be residue from the release of batik coloring process. However, the process of disposing of this residue does not affect the quality of clothes and colors, because this process is not fade process color.

- At the time of the first washing until the third wash, separate or batik dress (batik clothing) from other laundry.
- Use a mild detergent. It would be better if you use a special soap or lerak batik.
- Never use bleach.
- Do not wash batik clothes using the washing machine. Self-checked just by hand.
- Do not rubbed and squeezed too hard.

- Do not sunbathe batik dress in place in direct sunlight. Airing out in the shade place. Do not dry batik with washing machine.

- Avoid ironing process directly. If the clothes are too tangled batik, batik dress are wet with water, cover with another cloth and then ironed. This is to avoid color fading caused by heat.
- Do not spray perfume or cologne on your batik clothing or batik dress.
If you buy batik dress, then you should wash your batik cloth first before sewn. Because after being washed, usually will occur less shrinkage (contraction) size.
